VOLUNTEER
ESC is always seeking volunteers to support our programs.
Specifically, we are seeking four types of volunteers:
Adults with a background in teaching, science or
environment/naturalists. Like the Seattle Aquarium or Woodland Park
Zoo, our programs rely on volunteers to play a key role in our
educational programs. Our programs have a ratio of no more than 10
students to one educator, and all volunteer educators will be
provided with comprehensive orientation and training.
If you are interested in volunteering in an educational capacity,
please contact Nicole Killebrew at
nkillebrew@envsciencecenter.org
BOARD OR COMMITTEE MEMBERS
People with experience and interest in performing roles such as
selecting and working with the executive director, fundraising,
developing and approving the annual budget, and developing and
monitoring ESC’s long-range strategic plan.
If you are interested in inquiring about board or committee
participation, please contact
Executive Director Julie Burr at
julieb@envsciencecenter.org
INTERNSHIPS
High school students at least 16 years of age willing to assist
at special events and birthday parties; assist with summer programs;
