About the event
Ages 50 and up. The Environmental Science Center will provide a fun, interactive field trip to different spots along the Cedar River to learn more about its biodiversity and importance to our local salmon migrations. This program will provide the opportunity to view salmon migrating through the Cedar River as well as water quality lessons to better understand our stormwater issues and how to incorporate stewardship actions into our daily lives.
We will stop at the Renton Community Center to view the salmon and then travel upriver to the Landsburg Damn and the hatchery. Participants should plan to dress for the weather in mid-October and bring a lunch to eat on the go! Registration required.
This event is FREE thanks to our generous sponsors: Renton Parks and Recreation, King County Wastewater Treatment Division, King Conservation District, 4Culture, and Renton Public Works.
