About the event

Ages 50 and up. The Environmental Science Center will provide a fun, interactive field trip to different spots around the Sunset Neighborhood in Renton to learn more about the City's stormwater infrastructure with Public Works.

Our afternoon will start viewing the salmon in the Cedar River. Participants will learn about stormwater health through interactive demonstrations, and then venture out to view projects the City has implemented to improve our local ecosystems for humans and salmon. Come learn about rain gardens, bioretention cells, and permeable pavement to explore why low impact development is so important for our community's health.

Registration required.

This event is FREE thanks to our generous sponsors: King County Wastewater Treatment Division, King Conservation District, 4Culture, and Renton Public Works.
