About the event
Join ESC and local writer, editor, and educator Gabriela Denise Frank for our new outdoor creative writing series this summer. We’ll begin this class by learning about creatures that make the Seahurst Park shoreline their home. How are humans and crabs alike? What can we learn about ourselves from the moon snail or the sea star? We will write concrete poems in the shape of sea creatures that inspire us, interweaving facts about their life cycles and ecosystem entanglement with observations and reflections about our own.
This program is best for ages 16+ with required registration. Nature journals and pencils will be provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies if you'd prefer!
